Creating a PDF for TESTA Communications publications’;
Sound & Communications and Club Systems Magazines’.
Step One: Install and Configure a Post Script Driver:
Download and install our Windows PostScript driver (.PPD), either ClubSystems.PPD or SoundandCommunications.PPD.
Download the Adobe PostScript Printer Driver. Available from http://www.adobe.com
Click on “Support” and navigate to the “Download” section. Download the newest version of the “PostScript Printer Driver” for Windows.
You can also download this file from our server winsteng.zip
While Installing Post Script Driver choose ‘On File:” as a port.
Select the file either ClubSystems.PPD or SoundandCommunications.PPD from where ever you downloaded it to as you Printer Model.
Do Not choose to setup printer configuration at this time, choose No then finish.
From you Windows Start button, choose Printers and Faxes menu.
Select this newly installed printing device.
Right mouse click, choose properties and configure the driver in the following way;
Choose the General Tab > Printing Preferences >Advanced
Set these specs:
Paper Size: Custom (input size one inch larger then trim) For a full page the size would be 10.000 X 11.875.
Print Quality: 2450dpi
True Type: Download as Softfont
Post Script Output Option: Optimized for Portability
True Type Font Download Option: Outline
All others stay default.
Now you can make (print to) a PostScript file (*.ps), then rip with Adobe Distiller v6 ot v7 with the provided definition below.
Step Two: Download and install our custom Distiller profile.
Download either files; SoundandCommunications-v6.7.joboptions or ClubSystems-v6.7.joboptions.
Launch Distiller, cliock on the Settings menu and select Add Adobe Postscript PDF settings.
Locate the downloaded files (*.joboptions).
Enable in the Default Settings drop down menu.
Use this profile to distill PS files made with the above Custom PostScript driver.
Click to download files in ZIP format, decompress:
• ClubSystems.PPD
• SoundandCommunications.PPD
• winsteng.zip
• SoundandCommunications-v6.7.joboptions
• ClubSystems-v6.7.joboptions
